As i was playing with creating sequences with help of square waves i happen to make this beat. Annoying. . . Made with a small modular synth with love :-).

A sequence in a minor. Spring reverb feedback. Filter sweeps controlled by nlc sloth. I'm not using a sequencer. There are other was to obtain a sequence on a modular synth.

Doepfer a-119. Maybe not the coolest module on the market. But i have plans for this little friend. Bought it used. Bartonmusicalcircuits decaying analog noise (bmc23) recorded raw. Manual wiggling. Pure analog high-hat drum module. At the end you hear the pure noise. Germanium diode based noise!.

5 quantussy cells controlling 2 oscillators, 1 wave folder, 1 filter and 1 drum module (bmc analog drum). Even the pitch of the drum is controlled by one of the quantussy cells. The drum sound to fed to the feedback in on doepfer a-199 spring reverb.

A near chaotic experiment. Im mixing cycling envelopes and lfos to generate triggers. The four sounds are totally unrelated. > bass drum. > snare (or something. . . )> bass. The pitches for the bass are generated withthree mixed lfos. A trigger is generated from the quantizerwhen the cv changed enough to generate a new note inthe selected scale. > ear piercing and annoying sound. Three minutes of more than enough.

Patch consiting of- jupiter storm- jerkoff- filter- 2 x lfo- mixer- (spring reverb). Jupiter storm and jerkoff is in a "weak feedback loop". . . Purpose with patch is to evaluate the quality of the generative sounds/musicit will never repeat it self but there is some cyclic repetitionone cycle is about 50 sec - goodonly short sounds - badamplitude variation - badpitch variation - goodtimbre variation - okaymusical value - low to mediumentertaining - medium.

Electronic minute no 28 - chaos and random are friends now. Patch with jerkoff, envelope follower, sample and hold, ring modulation and delayi like the sound my self :-). In this patch i’m using doepfer a-160 clock divider as a sub bas generator. Square wave out from doepfer a-110 to trig in on a-160. I guess a square wave makes it easier for a-160? /4, in this patch, out to uvcf. The sawtooth from a-110 to another nice filter - the wasp filter. The transient modules 8s sequencer gives us an 8 note sequence. A copy of the sawtooth melody is going to an analog delay stomp box from joyo and back to the synth. An almost similar snare sound to that of idioteque in radiohead's 2000 album kid a. Though it is meant for experimental style, i think it would work with any form of electronic music. It was created by resonating noise from audacity, filtering it, fading it out, stretching it and compressing it. It has a characteristic sustain to it. Imagine it as a mix of a gunshot, cymbal, shaker and snare. Feel free to use it in any way you like. If you ever use it publicly or commercially, notify me so that i can hear how you used it.
